A day trip to London... Mini Beauty Haul & First Impressions!

So I'm in the UK for 5 months to study, and once I had settled in at my new house, first on my to-do list was a day trip to London.

I had quite a few bits on my wish list, that I wouldn't be able to get, where I'm living.

These are the beauty bits I got on my day trip to London.

Terracotta Sunset.... An eye look!

For autumn I loved the reds on the eyes (I still do by the way).
For this spring I'm ready to wear the orange shades.

It all started with a matte nude orange, I got at Inglot - If I should give it a name, I would call it Terracotta!
I really wanted to do a look with this shadow as the inspiration, so I gathered up my other orange toned shadows and ended up with this.

And yes, I'm wearing a kid bandaid on my neck, it's a long story:-)

Spray and stay.... Review - Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray!

I have been wanting to try a makeup setting spray for while.

I really don't care for the powdered look, especially not in these cold months, where my skin looks dull as it's!
So I really try to stay away from powder, but I still have the need for some kind of setting - because some how my make up really just doesn't stay to long!

So when Beautybay had their winter sale, I got the Urban Decay All Nighter.

One Shade of Grey... How to use the grey in Palettes!

We all love our palettes, but I think most of us reach for brown neutral shades mostly.
And I'm no exception.

But I actually think, I have found a good way to use the grey in these palettes.

For this one I have used the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

War of the palettes... Product Battle - Urban Decay Naked Palette vs. Stila in the Light Palette!

A good neutral palette has become a stable in any make up collection!
A trio or quad is no longer sufficient - No, we need palettes with lots of options both matte and metallic.

One the first things I invested in, when I got very interested in make up 1 1/2 year ago, was the Urban Decay Naked Palette, which at that time was the make up item to get!
And I have never regretted it!

Then Stila came with their palettes this year, and the "In the Light" palette quickly became a favourite in the beauty community - So of course I had to have it!

So now I have both, and I was thinking, that it might be helpful to let you know, what I think about the them - and of course which one is my favourite.

I'm Lovin' It... Current Beauty favourites # 2!

It's been a while since, I did my last (and first Current favourites).
But lately I have been loving a lot of products.
Some of them new and others old reruns.

Let me just start by saying, that all the products mentioned in my "London Lovin'" post is still favourites.

So lets get started!

Nails:

Sally Hansen Miracle Cure & Sally Hansen Mega Shine:
This combination have really done a difference for my nail polish.
I use the Miracle cure for base coat and the Mega Shine for top coat.
Usually my polish starts chipping already at the end of the first day, but now it can actually last for 2-3 days before chipping.
And I love, that the Sally Hansen products are very reasonable priced, because I do go through both base and top coat quit fast.
