On my hunt for the perfect primer, I got the L'Oreal one (see the review here) and as I mentioned in that post, I also got a more expensive one.
The Daniel Sandler Retexturizing Face Primer.
I never tried anything from this brand before, but have heard great things about their products.
Packaging:
I like the tube packaging.
It's easy to get the exact amount you need.
The plastic is quite soft, so I think, it will be easy to get out every last drop.
Texture:
It's a very light "cloudy" gel, look very much like the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Pure.
But some how it's a more soft texture, which makes it super easy to blend into the skin.
This also means, that a little amount goes a long way.
A small pea size amount is enough for my whole face.
The result:
This primer is pretty much like silk for your face, but without being heavy - You actually don't even feel it.
It evens out the skin so nicely and makes your foundation go on so smooth and flawless.
And where the L'Oreal ones was very mattifying, which I didn't really like, this still leaves my skin healthy looking.
When it comes to make my make up last longer, I'm not to sure, how big a difference it makes.
But together with the Urban Decay All Nighter it makes my make up looking good and fresh for a quite a while.
Conclusion:
I actually think, I'm going to end my search here.
I think that at £ 20,50 for 28 g. and with SPF 20, it's such a great buy.
You can buy it here at ASOS.com.
You can buy it here at ASOS.com.
When it comes to creating a perfect base for my make up, this is the best primer, I have tried.
And you really don't feel, that you have it on!
I would definitely recommend this primer.
Have you tried any Daniel Sandler products?
Do you get flashback using this primer (because of the SPF) or does your foundation balance it out?
ReplyDeleteHi Tammi, it has been a while since I used this one, because despite my positive review, I didn't repurchase it. I don't remember getting flashback with this one, however I'm so pale as it is, that I'm not sure, flashback do that much of a difference on me. Sorry I couldn't be of any better help :-/
DeleteHi Again, just wanted to add, that right now and for quite a while, I have been using and loving the Max Factor Face Finity primer, it has SPF as well, but it super lightweight and hydrating. If you look at the blogpost from the past few months, I'm wearing that one, but I might also be wearing a foundation with SPF - I don't feel that, I get flashback, but again, I'm so fair, that it can be hard to judge - Hope that helps you a bit :-)
