Hair Ways… My Haircare Routine!

I thought, it had been quite a while since, I talked about haircare and that an updated haircare routine was well overdue.

Compared to others, my haircare routine is quite simple, but it works and even though I might throw in and test some new products once in while, I keep it quite stable.

I have fine Scandinavian hair, but quite a lot of it!
Further my hair is also very prone to get greasy very quickly - I did for several years try to wash only every second day, in the hope that it would at some point result in my hair not getting so easily greasy.
I never reached that point and it just meant a huge consumption of dry shampoo, which did leave my scalp itchy and dry.
So a few years in I decided to wash my hair whenever I felt like, I wanted to - which does mean pretty much every single day and I don't feel like my hair feels any less healthy now. However my scalp is feeling such much better.
So the moral is, don't always listen to the "clever" people, you know your hair and what works for you best.

With that said, lets look at my routine.

All you need… Review - Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment!

I mostly got make up on my Sephora visits while in the U.S., however I did sneak in some haircare to.
This one from Living Proof was very high on my list - because I have really been looking for an easy-going styling product, that would kind of do it all.

So my hopes was high, when I got this, as I have heard raving reviews about this line.

I'm not convinced… Review COLAB Dry Shampoo!

After abandoning the whole "don't wash my hair every day"-idea, I haven't be as depending on dry shampoo, as I used to.
But I still have lazy days (mostly when I have to be at work at 8 AM), where I need a bit of help with my oily roots.

Ever since this brand was launched, it has been quite a rage online.
I have been through quite an amount of high street dry shampoos, but I still prefer the TreSemme one, that I started out with.
However I'm still up for trying something new, so I order it online on feelunique.com.

Air in Hair… Review - Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner!

This set just sounded like, they were made for fine scandinavian hair.

I do have fine hair, but a lot of it, so I look for something that are nourishing for my hair, but also leave it feeling really clean and not weighed down.

Style It… Inspiration - My styling products for my lob!

So as I mentioned in my post about my new hairdo, I have been a lot more into styling my hair after I got the cut.

Two of them are re-runs from my long hair styling, and will be staples in my hair routine, but I have added some new ones.

A Perfect Match… Review/Rave - L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Shampoo & Conditioner!

Last summer I started a series about budget shampoo/conditioner, but I didn't really keep with it.
I quickly realised that except for the one of with the Head & Shoulders Apple shampoo and conditioner, the low end just didn't do it for me within the area.

This line from L'oreal is not really at the low end (at least not in Denmark), but it still somewhat affordable.
I tried the EverRiche set from this L'Oreal line (which is very popular) back, when I lived in the UK, but didn't really think much of it.
So I can't really explain why I decided to give these a go - but I'm glad, I did.

Cut, Cut, Cut… My New Hairdo!

After quite a few years where I have been in kind of a competition with myself to see, how long my hair could actually get, before I felt like it was enough, I reached the point of total irritation right before Christmas - So I knew it was time to get quite a change hair-wise.

I have been thinking about it for the past year actually, but never really felt, that I was at the "point of no return".

I have a lot of hair… Recycle Week Part V - Haircare!

Right now my hair is probably the longest it has been since, I was around nine years old.
I go back and forward on whether to keep it or get it cut shorter - but for now I'm still feeling the long hair and actually want it even longer.

But it does come with some "issues" - Taking care of it is quite a process and I do use a lot more haircare, than I used to.

So I have quite a few haircare empties, and my number one haircare product, should become very apparent with this post.

Bounty Bar… Review - Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo & 1 Minute Treatment!

After my success with Head & Shoulders, I have now moved on to Garnier Ultimate Blends in my drugstore haircare try-out-project.

I went with this one, because I had heard great things about the 1 minute treatment, which meant that I actually opted for that one instead of the regular conditioner.
Also I really liked the sound of coconut oil and cocoa butter - and it was on offer at Boots.com.

An Everyday Wonder… Review - Head & Shoulders Apple Fresh Shampoo/Conditioner!

I used to be quite a "experimenteur" within the shampoo/conditioner area, but then I meet Tigi Dumb Blond, and felt like I never wanted to use anything else.
After Dumb Blond I meet John Frieda Luxurious Volume in England, and continued the affair back in Denmark.
But a few weeks ago my John Frieda was running out, so I had a look around my stock, and found these.

They reminded me of the joy of changing out and discovering new drugstore shampoo and conditioner.
Also I do actually think, that it is best for your hair to change up your shampoo and conditioner ever so often.

So now I'm starting project "Discovering Drugstore Shampoo & Conditioner", where I will try something new every time I have used up a set, and therefore venture into the land of different drugstore shampoo and conditioner, and of course I will take you along for the ride.

Two is better than one… Hair inspiration - Twin braids and the wonderful waves they create!

I like braids, but lately I have been feeling, that the single braid just made me look a bit old and was kind of outdated.

I have for a long time often slept with a braid to get curls, but one evening not to long ago, I decided to make two instead of one, and I actually really like the look.
Especially the next day, when it was a bit more messy.

And also I really loved the more tight curl/wave they create.

So this is my new go-to overnight hairstyle and often my second-day-hair hairstyle.

The Tangle Three… Product Battle - Three Budget Friendly Leave-in conditioner!

A while back a made a very raving review about a Pantene Leave-in conditioner.
In Denmark this is pretty much the only budget one available.

But here in the UK, there is quite a few to choose from.
So I decided to but some of them to the test.

If you're lazy and you know it… Review - L'Oreal Paris EverRiche Perfect Elixir!

When I arrived to the UK, on the top of my shopping list I had shampoo/conditioner, and I really wanted to try the EverRiche range.
However it did not at all live up to my expectations or the hype!

So shampoo/conditioner-wise I went on to other and better things, and decided I had brought my last EverRiche Product.

This was until I heard about this product from the line.

As sent from Budget Heaven... Review/Rave - Pantene Pro-V Instant Nourishing Spray!

It there anything better, than finding a budget friendly gem?

I was browsing the hair care ail in a supermarket recently - just to see, if there was anything new out.
I have been looking for a budget-friendly and widely available leave in conditioner for a while, but haven't really had any luck.

I had a look at this and after reading the description on the back, I decided to give it a go.
And oh, I'm so happy, that I did!

Tangles be gone... Product battle - Tangle Teezer vs. Michel Mercier Detangling Brush!

Recently I felt is was time to get a new hair brush.
I have been loving my Tangle Teezer and was actually planing to get a new one of those.

But I had heard many good things about the Michel Mercier one, and the fact that it had a handle really intrigued me.

So I decided to get one of those instead, and I though that it would be the perfect opportunity to compare the two.

Tangle Tamer... Review - Macadamia No Tangle!

A leave-in conditioner has become a permanent part of my hair care routine.

I had heard great things about this one, so I had to try it out to see if this was the Holy Grail one.

Clean with a bit of fun.... Brand Talk - Anatomicals!

In my December favourites, I featured the Anatomicals Make Your Scalp Yelp! Shampoo, and I have been in love with it ever since.

But I was running low, so I decided to do a little Anatomicals order on ASOS, to rebuy that one and try out some other things from them.

Wash N' Go... My current hair-"cleaning"-products!

In my world clean hair is happy hair:-)

When I was a kid, I hated getting my hair washed!
But some time during my teens, I changed my mind and I began washing my hair every day.
And I have done so until last fall.

I've been told several times, that I shouldn't wash my hair every day.
But I never listened.

But then something changed.
And it wasn't because I began loosing my hair or any thing like that :-)

I bought some more expensive shampoo and conditioner, and I wanted them to last longer, so decided to try to do every second day instead.
I've done so every since.

Shampoo and conditioner:

The shampoo and conditioner I bought was TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blond.

TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blond 750 ml duo pack.
I've used them every since and I still love them!

Gold in my hair... A tip for soft and healthy hair.

I have had a lot of problems with my hair since getting highlights in February.
It has been dry and damaged.
But now I have found the solution!

Let me just start by saying, that I got this tip from a youtuber (gemsmaquillage), who made a whole video about hair oils.
I would recommend you go see it, she really explains it very well.

The tip includes argan oil (surprise, surprise).
And I must agree, it's "The Gold of Morocco"!

My hair and I have a new love... Product rave - Goldwell Colourglow Shine Blond Leave In Treatment!

Ever since I had new highlight in my hair, I have had a lot of troubles with mayor tangles and had a really hard time brushing it, when it is wet... Even with my Tangle Teezer!

In the fall I bought a small bottle of the this wonder product, as a supplement to get free shipping on a Danish web shop.
And then I actually bought for as a heath protector.
I didn't try it until this weekend... but OMG it is so good.
I have tried a few other leave in conditioners in the last few weeks, but no one compare to this one.
