I featured this "fake" beauty blender in my May favourites.
And I though, I would do a proper review.
I would very much like to do a comparison with the original one, but I'm not going to pay that much for a make up sponge - no matter how amazing!
So I will just have to let you know, what I think of the dupe.
Sorry it is a bit dirty :-/ |
I wet it like you are suppose to with the beauty blender, and then I use the round end to dab it onto the skin.
It gives a very fresh and dewy look.
The result is gives:
I used the same products as in the post Miss Mix-A-Lot, but for that one I used the Real Technique buffing brush, which I usually use to apply my foundation.
So you can go to that post and look at the picture for comparison between sponge and brush.
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Gives a very natural, fresh and dewy look.
- Easy to build up the coverage.
- Cheap (I got mine for £ 1 at ebay).
Cons
- You need more product, than with a brush.
- Hard to clean properly.
I really like it, and I've already ordered a back up, because I do foresee it not lasting forever - but what can you expect at £ 1.
I might try out the original one some time in the future - maybe if I win the lottery :-)
If you are interested, you can get it here.
