When a new mascara is released on the high street, I'm always curious.
More than often however, I pass them up, when I've given them a closer look.
But the latest release from Maybelline really intrigued me.
Probably because it seemed like a fluttery version of one of my favourite high street mascaras from the same brand - the Maybelline Rocket Mascara.
Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara in Black. |
The title of this post probably gives it away, but I'm not impressed.
I'm going to do this very short and sweet and list the pros and the cons.
Pros
- Gives somewhat good volume
- It lasts pretty well throughout the day and doesn't smudge or flake.
- It is really black and glossy.
Cons
- The volume is a bit to clumpy for my liking and leaves the lashes looking short and spiky.
- It doesn't hold a curl very well.
- The curved wand makes the application a bit messy
- The overall result doesn't really do it for me
If I should compare it to the Rocket, I feel that that one gives a non-clumpy volume and also more overall definition and length.
So this is not a repurchase for me and wouldn't recommend it.
It gets a 2 on the Rating Scale.
