Cold Cheek… My Winter Blush Picks!

So we have come to the blush part of my winter picks serie.

As you can see from the swatches, my three picks are quite similar swatched, but with a slight difference.
Common for all of them is, that they are quite neutral and not overwhelming if apply lightly, so that they go nicely with the statement eyes or lips, I often go for this season.

Benefit Rockateur - Nars Douceur - Rimmel Santa Rose
"The Golden Rose" - Benefit Rockateur
This is a nice rosy brown with a golden shimmer.
The Benefit Box blushes are great and so easy to blend, so this is perfect if you want something, that goes with pretty much any eye or lip, but with a bit of sheen.

"The Almost Brown" - Nars Douceur
Douceur is a matte brown, that shows more plum on the cheeks, than in the swatch.
It is very pigmented, and on me it doesn't go, if I apply to much, which makes me look like a bad fake tanner.
However applied lightly with a stipple brush, it is just perfect and gives the perfect amount of definition on the cheeks.
Can also be used for contour.

"The Fresh Glow" - Rimmel London Santa Rose
This is the perfect fresh winter glow blush.
It is a tone-downed peach with a bit of shimmer, but it doesn't give as much a summer feel as other similar blushes.
I have had it for while, so it is in the old packaging, but it is probably one of my favourite budget blushes.

So this is the end to my little "Winter Picks" series - hope you enjoyed.
