Why pay more, when you can pay less??... TAG: I *HEART* Drugstore Makeup

A little while back, I did my first TAG (the 10 products, I would repurchase).
I really enjoyed it - It's a easy way to let you know a bit more about me and my favourite products.

I really like this TAG, and found it very useful.
As you know, I'm a student and therefore have limited means, so drugstore/high street make up have a big place in my heart.

I really enjoy treating myself to a high end product once in a while, but when I just feel like trying out something new, I go to the high street.
Also I really think, that the high street have upped their game the last few years.

So lets get started :-)

Question 1 - Favourite drugstore makeup brand?
This probably won't come as surprise for whose, how have read my blog for while.
I love Rimmel London!
The price is right and almost all their products are great.
I recently did a post about my love for Rimmel London - See it here.
I could probably mention a Rimmel product in every "positive" category below, but for the sake of not repeating myself to much, I will try not to!

Question 2 - Favourite face, cheek and lip product?
For foundation I have chosen the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (see my post here), I really like it, and use it a lot for every day use.
However foundation is probably one of the products, where I really think, that it's worth paying the extra money to get a high end one.
But I still really love this one, and use it most days!
For cheeks I really love the MUA blusher in shade 2, which is the perfect pink for my skin tone.
I think, that there is several good drugstore blushes, and I will soon be doing a post about my favourites, so look out for that one.
My favourite lip product is L'Oreal Caresse lipstick in Dating coral (see post here).

Question 3 - Least favourite product?
I probably tried a lot of product, that didn't really do it for me.
But the one, that I really didn't like recently is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder.
I just makes me look to powdered!
It's quit popular, so I could actually also add this under question 8!

Question 4 - Best makeup bargain?
ELF Eyebrow kit.
I have tried a lot of eyebrow product, but this is definitely my favourite.
And the colour Ash is just perfect to my eyebrows, as a warm toned doesn't work for my brows!
It consists of a powder and a setting gel, which really helps me keep my unrolling brows under control.

Question 5 - Favourite underdog product?
A product I really like, that I have heard or seen mentioned is Maybelline Cover stick.
I not quit sure, if it available every where, but I think in some form.
It's a very creamy stick concealer. It's so easy to blend and doesn't cake.
It covers very visible imperfections perfectly!
Another product, that I think is very overlooked is the Rimmel London single shadows (yeah, I know, I promised, but I had to mention them!).
They are so soft and easy to use, and every season they bring out new colours.

Question 6 - A drugstore product, that is overpriced?
I think, that everything from L'Oreal Paris is very overpriced.
To give a example, the gel liner is much more that the one from Maybelline or Rimmel, which are just as good, if not better!

Question 7 - Best drugstore dupe?
I found this one really hard, because I don't have a such a collection, that I have high end and high street products, that exactly the same.
I probably have products in my collection, that are very close to high end products, but I wouldn't know for sure.
However I really think, that there are very good dupes for high end mascaras in the drugstore.
The ones I found were most similar is Benefit Bad Gal Lash and Revlon Grow Luscious.
This goes for both wand, formulation and result :-)

Question 8 - Not worth the hype?
I wasn't in any doubt about this one - Maybelline Color Tattoo.
I just don't get it!
I had major creasing and glitter fall out - and they are not nearly as good as the Benefit creaseless creams or MAC Paintpots!
I would with out a doubt rather spend the extra and get one of those instead.

So that was the end of this TAG - Hope you enjoyed!
