As promised here is my take on a look with the Kiko Burgundy (plum) Mascara.
(read my initial thoughts on the mascara and other Kiko products here)
How burgundy it actually looks depends on the light - in the sunlight you really see the burgundy, but inside it looks more brown.
But no matter the light, I really like the more soft look it gives and it does a world of wonders for my blue eyes.
Even though the mascara isn't a totally out there pop colour, I still think it works best with a more subtle and matte eye.
My favourite matte shadow is MAC Uninterrupted, so I went for that one, but you can pretty much go with what ever is you favourite neutral matte shadow.
To add a bit of light, I used my new favourite shadow from MAC, Vex, in the inner corner.
To finish it of before applying the mascara, I used Rimmel Scandal'Eyes Liner in Bronze close to the upper lash line.
I found that a white lash primer really makes the colour more vibrant, so I started with a coat of the Urban Decay Subversion, which also makes the mascara stay put all day.
And then just a few coat of the Kiko Super Colour Mascara on both top and bottom lashes.
Voila, you have an easy, but somewhat different, everyday look.
I love it, so much so, that I'm contemplating getting the Yves Saint Laurent Burgundy Mascara!
Would you dare to go burgundy on the lashes or would you prefer another colour?
