2 oils, 2 balms and 2 much glitter… Products regrets/dislikes!

Luckily there is often quite a while between, I do these kind of posts, but within the last few months, I have had some quite disappointing purchases.

I really like hearing about other peoples regrets, as they are often as helpful in deciding which products to buy, as good reviews!
So of course I wanted to share my unfortunate experiences with you guys, to help you decide whether some of the products below, are worth your money.

Oils

The L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil did disappoint me in several ways.
First bad impression was the scent - it is very … eh, ethnic spicy - it makes sense with the name, but it is just not my favourite kind of scents.
However as I said so many times before, if a product really works, I can look beyond the scent, however this didn't!
It makes my hair feel so weird and almost "glass-like", yeah I know it sounds weird, but it is the best way, I can describe it!
And it definitely did not perform, as I want a hair oil to perform - make my hair feel soft, hydrated and healthy.

I'm a fan of oils for everything, and especially for make up removal, however this L'Oreal Sensational Cleansing Oil was absolute crap.
It didn't dissolve the make up, as I'm use to with a cleansing oil. So I really had to scrub to get of my make up, and it left my skin feeling weird and rough.
I probably have to realise, that in the cleansing oil department, there is no good budget buys!

So L'Oreal those two products are do-overs!

Balms

Oils are great, but I do also love me a good balm and they very rarely disappoint me - however this was until now.

Again a product that testify, that sometimes there is just no cheap way out.
I bought the No. 7 Melting Gel Cleanser hoping, that it would be a good affordable dupe for the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, and at first glance it did really seem to be, especially the texture.
However when I used it, I felt that my skin got a bit irritated and it just didn't leave my skin as glowing and soft as the Oskia.
I stopped using it after a few days, when the irritation increased and I noticed, that I was breaking out more than usually.

A balm for your hair - of course I had to try the Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm.
The idea (and the scent, as with all Charles W products) is great, but it doesn't work as desired.
It doesn't really do anything special for my hair and in addition to that, it takes more than one hair wash to get it out of your hair, and as I'm a lover of absolutely squeaky clean hair, that is no good!

Make up with glitter overload

I will make it very simple and sweet, I do not like the Maybelline Color Elixir Gloss in Petal Plush and the L'Oreal Color Riche Eyeshadow in Sable Lame, because the glitter in them are so overwhelming, that it is pretty much all you see, when they are applied on respectively the lips and the eyes.
And it is not good glitter - Petal Plush has a blueish glitter, that makes it look like a cheap gloss you would get with a Barbie in the 90's.
The glitter in Sable Lame is very patchy and doesn't really apply unto the lids in a very nice way.
However I have to say, that for these two is probably just a matter of these particular shades not hitting the mark.
