Once there was a high street make up brand, that wasn't very pretty, and all the other make up brands was way ahead of it.
But then suddenly it developed into a beautiful swan... sorry make up brand:-)
Yes, the history of Rimmel London is a true fairytale.
Just a few years ago I walked a big curve around the Rimmel stand.
I had tried a few products, and didn't think much about it.
But then something happened.
I really think, they did something with both their products formulation, the packaging and their image altogether.
At the moment Matas (the danish equivalent to Boots, Superdrug etc.) have a 3 for 2 offer on Rimmel London.
So I got a few old favourites and some new products.
My love started with a Stay Glossy lip gloss, and then I tried the Glam'Eyes Mono shadow in Spicy Bronze, and my love just developed from there!
I really love almost every product from them.
The only products, I have tried, that I wasn't to crazy about, was the Stay Matte powder, the Neon Eye shadows and the Glam'Eyes Day 2 Night mascara.
However I'm quit open to trying some of their other mascaras.
But for now, lets see what I got this time :-)
Rimmel London Waterproof Gel liner in Black and Brown
I started with the brown one, and really liked it, so for my second trip I got the black.
I think they are very nice and easy to work with.
The brush is actually very good, however I'm a little ambivalent about the packaging.
I really like, that the brush is a part of the packaging, but it also makes it a little unhandy!
I have tried the Maybelline Gel liner in black, and I actually prefer this one over the Maybelline one.
I think, it goes on smoother and then I really like, that it's a smaller amount of product, so that you actually have a chance to use it up before, it dries out.
Rimmel London Kate Matte lipstick in no 107 and Stay Glossy lip gloss in Always Lovely:
This is my first Rimmel Lipstick.
I got it because, I had heard great things about these Kate Moss Lipsticks.
I went for a totally different colour, than I would normally go for.
But I really like it, and the formula of these lipsticks make it really easy to wear a bold lip.
It's a beautiful dark berry, and even though it's matte, it's not drying at all.
And it lasts really well.
I love Rimmel lip glosses, there are non-sticky, but still really shiny.
They have a nice subtle scent of vanilla.
I also really like the Vinyl Glosses, however they have a very weird artificial scent.
Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Mono shadow in Smokey Quarts and Mono Blush in Santa Rose:
So this is my fourth Rimmel shadow, and I still love them.
At first glance, it looks very similar to Backstage, but it a bit lighter and a more warm tone, and actually like a lighter version of Spicy Bronze.
I really enjoyed the Pink Rose blush, so I really wanted to try another one.
But I think, they are re-branding their blushes, because they are sold out everywhere.
However I managed to find Santa Rose, which is really pretty as well.
It's very subtle and great for my fair skin.
The blushes are so soft and easy to blend, but also very pigmented, so you have to have a light hand with them.
They also last fairly well.

Besides these products, I really like their foundations (Perfect match and Wake Me Up), their nail polishes and now also the Scandal'Eyes Kohl Kajals.

So if you haven't tried any Rimmel products - What are you waiting for?
And if you have - What are you favourite?
Hope you enjoyed.
