I hate to have really big expectation, and then be let down!
And in the past few weeks, I have bought and tried out two make up product, that really disappointed me.
So to spare you the same disappointment, I thought, I would tell you about them.
Rimmel London Neon Collection Glam Eyes:
I bought these as an extension of both my neon obsession and the fact that I loved Rimmel Glam eyes in Spicy Bronze (see my post Spicy Bronze here)
1. No.179 Block your green 2. No. 174 Pop your pink |
I was hoping, that they would be as smooth and pigmented as the Spicy Bronze - But no.
They are neither smooth nor pigmented!
They are very chalky, and it's very hard to get the pay of, that I was hoping for to really make the neon POP!
I bought mine online, so that's why I didn't had the chance to swatch them.
If I had, would not have bought them.
It's too bad, because I really had some great looks in mind with these!
Maybeline 24HR Color Tattoo:
I'm sorry, that I once again have to diss another Maybeline product.
And especially because this product have been rave about ever since it came out.
I was stoked, when Maybeline launched, the very spoken about, Color Tattoos in Denmark.
So off cause I went out and bought two the next day!
I got no. 40 Permanent Taupe and no. 05 Eternal Gold.
(And yes, for some reason, they have other names in Denmark!!??)
I thought, they seemed quite promising, when I first swatched them.
Very creamy and pigmented.
My good thoughts very changed, once I tried them out for real.
I was hoping to use them as a base, like I do with my Benefit Creaseless Creams and M.A.C Paintpot.
But unfortunately they crease within a few hours!
So the 24 hours is quite the exaggeration.
Also the Eternal Gold has a lot of glitter, and even though it's a cream product, the glitter goes every where!
I haven't tried to use them on their own, but I'm thinking, that it will be the same.
Any way, I was only buying them to use as base, so if I can't use them for that, I probably won't use them at all!
I had so high expectations for this product, so I'm very sad, that I hate them!
I rather spend the extra money, and get a creaseless cream or paintpot.
Update - This Works 5 in 1 water:
As a end note to this quite negative post, I wanted to give you an update on the 5 in 1 water, I wrote about a few posts back.
I used it for a few days after that post. I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't.
I broke out and the fact, that I couldn't use it on my eyes, just irritated me so much!
So if you have very sensitive eyes and skin, I would not recommend this product!
Go for an oil instead.
I have bought the Bio Beauty Make up removal oil, and I'm trying this out, and will let you know soon, what I think.
Until next time - Keep it cool<3
