I have mentioned her before, but I absolutely love MissJenFabulous' nail tutorials.
And now she did it again, with polka dots, which really inspired me.
It's very easy, but it takes a bit longer than with my other "nail of the days".
This is how I did it.
You'll need 1 base colour and then 3-5 colours for the dots.
To make the dots, I just used a toothpick.
Step 1:
Apply base coat and two coats of your base colour (I used Depend no. 192, a creamy nude).
Let it dry!!
Step 2:
One colour at a time put a few drops on a small plate, and dot it on all of the nails.
Concentrate the most dots at the tip and then "gradient" them down the nail.
I used the following colours in the following order:
1. Depend no. 135 (a sheer peachy pink)
2. Depend no.034 (a bright creamy neon pink)
3. H&M Golden Treasure (A metallic gold)
4. H&M Lime (a neon Lime/yellow, available now at H&M).
The dots don't have to be perfect or placed a certain way.
The more messy and random - the better!!
The more messy and random - the better!!
Step 3:
Let the dots dry and apply a glossy topcoat.
And now you have perfect summer nails :-)
(You can do whatever colour combination, you want, but I found, that a mix between finishes worked very well).
Keep it cool <3
