Two Toned… Spring/Summer Nail Inspiration Part III

Now as we have officially reached the Summer, I'm here with the last instalment in my nail inspiration series - this time with a very easy nail art, that I often get a lot of compliments on.

The nail art in question is a two toned ombre nail.

// H&M Kalahari with Barry M Gold Foil Effects // Essie Maximillianstrasse Her with 17 Holo // Topshop Totally Tumeric with OPI Bright Lights-Big Color//
You can use pretty much any colour combination, as long as they are somewhat within the same shade family, as this gives the best ombre effect.
The base polish should be a cream and then find a metallic/shimmer to match it.

How to do it
1. Apply the cream polish all over the nail - two coats are enough with most polishes.
2. Paint a stripe of the metallic/shimmer polish on a triangle make up sponge and dab onto the top of the nail.
You might need to go in a second time with the sponge depending on the intensity of the polish.
3. Do topcoat quite quickly after, as it help blending the polishes.
And you are done :-)

You will have a bit of polish around the nails, but I always do it in the evening before bed, and the next morning, you can pick the excess of and a shower will also wonders!

The combinations
I did a nude, a cool and a bright warm option.
The Nude - H&M Kalahari with Barry M Gold Foil Effects
The Cool - Essie Maximillianstrasse Her with 17 Holo polish
The Bright Warm - Topshop Totally Turmeric with OPI Bright Lights-Big Color.

But remember you can do what ever combination, you like - the possibilities are pretty much endless.

Hope this gave you a bit of inspiration.
