Wouldn't it be great, if us girls only had hair on our head - actually I don't really understand, why evolution haven't taken care of that yet. We really don't need it any where else than the head!
But until we evolve into something without hair on our legs and other miscellanies places, shaving tips can always come in handy (even though it might be quite TMI), so I'm going to share mine with you today.
Tip 1 - Go for oil instead of foam
I've found that for a closer shave and to avoid skin-irritation and hydrate the skin, it is much better to use a shower oil for shaving.
I love the L'Occitane Almond Shower oil, but it is quite expensive, so I have found a cheaper version i the danish pharmacy from Decubal (several of the French pharmacy brands also do them).
Tip 2 - Change your blade
A sharp blade can make or break your shave.
How often you should change it, depends on how much you use it.
I change mine about once a month, I can feel, when it is time.
I use a Gillette razor, but blade-wise I just get the ones, that are on offer!
Tip 3 - Go cheap on the legs
Unless you have very sensitive skin on the legs, you can definitely go for cheap one-use shaver on the legs.
Again I just get the cheapest ones, I can find, and I do only use them once.
Tip 4 - Don't forget the aftercare
Small red bumps are a big issue for me, when I shave (especially down-under!).
The Shea Moisture After Shave Healing Elixir have been a miracle in terms of reducing these.
When the hairs starts coming back, it can itch a bit, and for that the Decubal Anti-itch gel keeps me going until my next shave.
So I hope this was helpful.
