A good brush just makes such a difference, when applying your make up.
So I wanted to share my favourites and what I use them for!
Lets get started :-)
Foundation:
For foundation I always use a brush, and these are my two favourites - Real Technique Buffing Brush and Sephora Mineral Powder Brush.
They are very similar in result.
They both give a really airbrushed and flawless result.
The Buffing brush might give a bit more coverage, than the Sephora one.
Powder and concealer:
Real Technique Powder brush:
Nice and fluffy - makes sure, that you doesn't over powder.
And you can do your whole face in one go.
ELF Studio Flawless Concealer Brush:
I also featured this in my December favs, and it have quickly become a favourite.
It's does the job perfectly and have just the right size.
ELF Studio Powder brush:
I use this for mineral foundation/powder.
It has been a while, as I mostly use this in the summer.
But it's definitely a favourite, that is worth mentioning!
Contour and highlight:
ELF Bamboo Angled Blush Brush:
I use this for contour, which it's just perfect for.
I find it way to small for blush, but it fit perfect in the hollows of my cheeks.
And this range of brushes is just so soft and nice quality!
Real Technique Contour Brush:
This I use for powder highlighters.
Not much to say, I love it.
I do also accasionally use it for contour, but I find it better for highlighters.
Blush:
For powder blush I love ELF Bamboo Complexion Brush and Real Technique Blush Brush.
The Real Technique one is a bit better for very pigmented blushes, but otherwise the Complexion brush is a small favourite.
For Cream blushers, which I love, I use the Real Technique Stippling Brush.
Over all it's great for cream products.
I have yet to try it for foundation.
Eyebrows:
Real Technique
NIPZ "Mascara" wand:
I use this to comb through my brows.
You can get a similar one in the cheap brush line at ELF.
It's very simply, but I wouldn't live without it - However I don't think this a brush to splurge on!
Eyes:
Jemma Kidd Eyeliner brush:
This brush gave me a whole new view on gel liners.
It makes it so easy to apply gel liner - I couldn't live without it.
Unfortunately Jemma Kidd is no longer in business (as far as I know), so this brush is not available any more.
However I know Bare Minerals and Sigma has similar ones.
Nilens Jord (danish brand) Angled liner brush:
This I use, when I use powder eyeshadow for liner, which is great for.
I know, that this brand is not available outside Denmark, however I'm sure you can find similar ones.
ELF Studio Contour Brush:
This I use for crease colour, and it's just great.
Ecotools Eye Shading Brush:
Nice and fluffy - Great for applying colour all over the lid and for blending.
By far my favourite eye brush.
ELF All-over Eyeshadow Brush:
This is great to pack on shadows, for a more intensive look.
You can read more about Real Technique and find place to buy here.
You can buy the ELF brushes here.
See more about Ecotools here.
So I hope, this gave you some inspiration.
I highly recommend every brush mentioned and think they are all great value.
All in all, I really think the high street have great brushes today, so that you don't have to pay a fortune.
