Packing Light… Inspiration - What is in my small bag!

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know, that I did do one purchase slightly more significant than all the others, while I was in the US.
It was in Barneys New York at The Grove and the brand Alexander - Alexander Wang!

I have been dreaming of an Alexander Wang purchase for years, so I had actually planned to get a wallet, but as the one I had my eye on was no where to be found, I decided that in the end, no one is going to see you wallet, but every one will see your bag (and the lady in Barneys agreed :-)).

I went with the very small, but all new in, Brenda Camera Bag.
Using a small bag from time to time is no stranger to me, but as I really want to use this bag as much as possible, it has required a major down-sizing in terms of what I bring with me day to day.

Firstly I had to switch out my "huge" wallet for a smaller version - it wasn't an overwhelming task as I always travel with a cardholder and a small coin purchase.
However I decided to go for this ASOS Small Pony Hair Wallet instead of my & Other Stories Card Holder to hold all of my cards.
This could also go for both notes and coins, but I prefer having them in a separate little pouch, like this zip one from H&M.
Both the ASOS small wallet and the H&M zip pouch are old, but you can find items like these all over the high street.

Other essentials are of cause my iPhone. I have an iPhone 5S with a ASOS Space Age Case.
Besides that I decided the most important things are hand sanitizer, lip balm (Nuxe Reve de Miel), lip colour of the day (here Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Amarone) and gum.

Lastly I need my sunnies - here Jimmy Choo Lana/S Havana (model no. MY6HA - I got them at the Off Fifth Outlet in Las Vegas), I actually just realized, that these fold up, but I just have them "folded out" in this standard Aldo Silver Sunglasses Pouch, I got a few days ago on sale.

So these were my small bag essentials - I absolutely love my first "Wang", and I feel, that it will not be my last.
I really think he does great qaulity leather goods at a more reasonable price than other high end designers, and I love his esthetic - they go very well with my style.

Would you consider switching out your every day bag for a smaller version?

  1. Nice post. Would you say the bag could fit a Kindle?
