I realised, that it has been quite a while, since I last did a skincare routine post - actually almost exactly two years (you can see my old skincare routine posts here)
As you will see, that is quite a few reruns, but I've changed up quite a big part of my skincare routine since then.
Let me just start with a little introduction to my skin type.
I have somewhat sensitive skin and can't just use any product, and that is probably the main focus in my skincare routine, not to upset my skin.
This is also the reason, why I tend to stick to, what I know works!
My skin is dehydrated and especially in the winter, I get dry patches, if I don't use the proper skincare.
But I do also suffer under smaller spots/blackheads and uneven skin - but I rarely get a big break out, unless I use something my skin doesn't like (saying that, I do actually have a big one right now, without any explanation).
So with that said, you can decide for yourself, if you think, my skincare routine would suit your skin type.
My main focus in the morning is "quick and easy" and creating a good base for make up.
I cleanse my skin with my trusty Lavera Cleansing Gel.
It does the job and leave my skin feeling fresh and clean without being stripped or irritated.
This is the perfect example of simple often works best.
I don't use a regular toner, but for the past few years, I have been loving the Caudalie Beauty Elixir as my "toner".
It is great on redness and calms the skin as well as giving the skin a boost.
Eye cream is one of the things, I often forget, but when I remember, I use the Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Morning Eye Rescue.
My eye area is especially sensitive, and it reacts badly to many eye creams, but not this one and it moisturises perfectly.
Next I do serum, which is such an important step, when you have dehydrated skin.
I'm still loving the Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum, I have tried other similar ones, but always return to this one.
I change up my moisturiser according to the season, and for the summer, I still love the Weleda Almond Facial Cream, that I featured last time.
However in the colder months, I need something even more "heavy duty", and the Korres Watercress Extra Moisturising Cream is an extremely thick and highly moisturising cream, and will probably to most people be a bit to greasy.
But it really sinks into my skin quickly and creates a perfect base for make up - and I don't get any dry patches, when using this!
So this is my morning skincare routine - come back in a few days for my evening routine!
